Welcome to ScoreWars. These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using ScoreWars, including our website, mobile app, prediction features, private leagues, leaderboards, match data, profiles, and related services.
By using ScoreWars, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use ScoreWars.
1. About ScoreWars
ScoreWars is a football prediction and leaderboard app. Users can predict football scores, create or join private leagues, compete with other users, view match information, and track points based on prediction performance.
ScoreWars is for entertainment, football discussion, prediction games, and social competition.
2. Eligibility
You must be old enough to legally use online services in your country or have permission from a parent or guardian.
By using ScoreWars, you confirm that:
- The information you provide is accurate.
- You will use the app lawfully.
- You will not use ScoreWars for fraud, abuse, harassment, or illegal activity.
- You are responsible for keeping your account login details safe.
3. Accounts
To use ScoreWars features, you will need to create an account or sign in.
You are responsible for all activity on your account. You must not share your password, impersonate another person, or create accounts for abusive or fraudulent purposes.
We may suspend or remove an account if we believe it has broken these Terms or is being used in a harmful, abusive, or unlawful way.
4. Predictions and Scoring
ScoreWars allows users to submit predictions for football fixtures before the relevant deadline.
Scoring rules may include points for correct scores, correct results, bonus predictions, knockout winners, or other competition-specific rules shown in the app.
We aim to calculate scores fairly, but you understand that:
- Football data may be delayed, incomplete, changed, or corrected.
- Scores and leaderboards may update after match data is refreshed.
- Admins of private leagues may control certain league settings.
- ScoreWars may correct obvious errors, duplicate results, or technical issues.
ScoreWars’ scoring decisions are final where a technical or data correction is required.
5. Private Leagues
Users may create or join private leagues using league codes or invitations.
League creators or admins may be able to manage league settings, members, fixtures, prediction fields, and scoring options.
By joining a private league, you understand that your name, predictions, points, and leaderboard position may be visible to other members of that league.
You must not use league names, profile names, or other content that is offensive, abusive, discriminatory, misleading, or unlawful.
6. Match Data and Third-Party Data
ScoreWars uses third-party football data providers, including TheSportsDB, to display fixtures, teams, scores, match details, statistics, players, badges, league information, and related football data.
TheSportsDB and other third-party data sources are independent from ScoreWars. ScoreWars does not own or control the data provided by TheSportsDB or any other external data provider.
We do not guarantee that third-party data will always be accurate, complete, available, or up to date.
ScoreWars is not responsible for errors, delays, missing fixtures, abandoned matches, postponed matches, incorrect scores, missing player information, unavailable API services, or any other issue caused by TheSportsDB or other external data sources.
Football club names, badges, competitions, player names, images, statistics, and related data may belong to their respective owners. ScoreWars does not claim ownership of third-party football rights or data supplied by TheSportsDB.
7. Gambling, Prizes and Personal Responsibility
ScoreWars is designed as a football prediction, competition, and leaderboard app for entertainment and social use.
ScoreWars does not provide betting markets, gambling services, odds, wagers, or financial gambling products. We do not process bets or hold money on behalf of users for gambling purposes.
Any personal gambling, betting, stakes, side agreements, prize pools, or money-based arrangements made between users are entirely the responsibility of those users. ScoreWars does not organise, manage, approve, monitor, or take responsibility for any such arrangements.
Users are responsible for making sure that any activity they take part in complies with the laws and regulations that apply in their location.
You must not use ScoreWars to promote, organise, or operate unlawful gambling, fraud, money laundering, or any illegal financial activity.
Unless clearly stated in official ScoreWars promotion rules, ScoreWars does not offer cash prizes, betting rewards, or financial payouts.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Hack, damage, overload, or disrupt ScoreWars.
- Try to access another user’s account.
- Abuse bugs, exploits, or technical errors.
- Use automated bots, scripts, scraping, or fake accounts.
- Upload or submit harmful, offensive, illegal, or misleading content.
- Copy, resell, or commercially exploit ScoreWars without permission.
- Use ScoreWars in a way that damages our reputation or affects other users’ enjoyment.
We may restrict, suspend, or remove access if these rules are broken.
9. User Content
You may submit names, league names, predictions, profile details, or other content through ScoreWars.
You remain responsible for your content. By submitting content, you give ScoreWars permission to use, display, store, and process that content as needed to operate the app.
We may remove content that we believe is inappropriate, unlawful, harmful, or in breach of these Terms.
10. Intellectual Property
ScoreWars, including its name, branding, design, layout, features, code, text, and original content, belongs to ScoreWars or its owner.
You may use ScoreWars for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or reproduce any part of ScoreWars unless we give written permission.
Football club names, badges, competitions, player names, and related data may belong to their respective owners. ScoreWars does not claim ownership of third-party football rights.
11. Availability and Changes
We aim to keep ScoreWars running smoothly, but we do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We may update, change, suspend, or remove parts of ScoreWars at any time, including features, leagues, scoring rules, data sources, or design.
We may also perform maintenance or updates without notice.
12. Disclaimers
ScoreWars is provided “as is” and “as available”.
We do not guarantee that:
- Predictions, scores, stats, fixtures, or leaderboards will always be accurate.
- The app will be free from bugs or downtime.
- Third-party football data will always be correct.
- Any user will achieve a particular result, ranking, or score.
You use ScoreWars at your own risk.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, ScoreWars will not be responsible for any loss, damage, claim, cost, or expense arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use ScoreWars.
- Incorrect, delayed, or missing football data.
- Account access issues.
- League disputes between users.
- Technical errors, bugs, downtime, or data loss.
- Unauthorised access caused by your failure to protect login details.
- Any personal gambling, betting, prize pools, side agreements, or money-based arrangements made between users.
- Any errors, delays, outages, or inaccuracies caused by TheSportsDB or other third-party football data providers.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
14. Privacy
Your use of ScoreWars may involve the collection and processing of personal information, such as your name, email address, league membership, predictions, and leaderboard activity.
You should also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how personal data is handled.
15. Termination
You may stop using ScoreWars at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms, misuse the app, create risk for other users, or use ScoreWars unlawfully.
After termination, some data may remain where needed for legal, security, backup, or league integrity purposes.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
When we make changes, we may update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of ScoreWars after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless local consumer protection laws require otherwise.
Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
